Karine Hagen is your host in these award winning short-films sharing some of her favourite insights into world cultures. Be they aspects of local lives, working worlds, or sharing privileged access to places few have the opportunity to visit.
She is an executive of Viking Cruises and is responsible for designing onboard and onshore experiences for Viking’s guests around the world. A native of Norway, Karine has lived in the UK, US, Russia and Asia, and speaks seven languages. She is a great believer in the power of travel to change the world.
Before joining the travel industry, Karine was in the technology and telecom sectors in Russia and the US, working for Telenor in St. Petersburg and Genesys in Silicon Valley. Prior to that she worked for Arthur Andersen and J Walter Thompson in San Francisco.
Karine holds a BA in Economics and Soviet Studies from Wellesley, an MA in Russian & East European Studies from Stanford and an MBA from Handelshøyskolen BI in Oslo.
